Update (September 12): A couple weeks ago, I photographed the wedding of one of my oldest and dearest friends up in Sandpoint, Idaho. The wedding was held at a private residence overlooking the shores of Lake Pend Orielle and surrounded by views of the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains. It was an eventful day, but after a few comical mishaps, everything turned out beautifully. Hans and Jessy are perfect together and it was a really special day for everyone involved. Here are some of my favorites…

I recently did a photoshoot for Cynthia Lucas, a local Portland designer specializing in custom, recycled jackets and blazers. We spent a day shooting in the pearl district in NW Portland and had a great time. Cynthia owns her own clothing company named Bella Sisters, which we are also in the process of creating new materials and a website for, so check back soon for more on that!

Not unlike Scott and Courtney themselves, their wedding on Saturday couldn’t have been more perfectly put together. They were married under a giant willow tree at a family home in Newberg, Oregon and from the flowers to the menu, the entire day was a family affair. The weather was a sunny 82 degrees and the outdoor gardens and greenery of the grounds lent the perfect backdrop to the color and energy of the wedding. Everyone was laid back and relaxed and danced late into the summer night. A few of my favorites from the day:

Phil and Jamie had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Pennisula Park in NE Portland. The hundreds of rose bushes throughout the park were in full bloom and the weather was calm and warm. After the ceremony, which was held in an ornate gazebo overlooking the gardens, we headed out into the park to take some fun and relaxed portraits. The evening ended with a candlelit reception and dancing at the Acadian Ballroom. Phil and Jamie were fun and relaxed and it was great to hang out with them for the day! A few of my favorites:
